Background and Credentials

Dr. Xiaoyu Guo, "Dr. G", received her bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego with Summa Cum Laude. Before transitioning to dentistry, Dr. G was a stem cell biology researcher who studied stem cells applications on treating various human diseases such as Parkinson Disease, Alzheimer, and cardiovascular diseases. After many years working as clinic researcher in Texas Heart Institute, she decided to pursue further study in dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. After graduating from the program with Dean's list, Dr. G has been practicing as general dentist in Houston area to help people improve their oral health and educate people about the importance of having good oral health related to their general health.

Dr. G strongly believes in lifelong learning and keeps her knowledge updated to deliver high-quality care for all her patients. In her free time, Dr. G enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, traveling around the world, and exploring cuisines from different cultures.
